Happy Easter!

These pics are actually from an Easter egg hunt that we attended on Saturday the weekend before Easter (I had to work on Easter. Booh.)

We tagged along with our friends, Lauren and Kai, to their neighborhood's Easter celebration.  (Incidentally, it's not the first time we've crashed a party with them.)

Arlo LOVED his Easter basket.  He pretty much wouldn't let go of it for a week or so before and after Easter.  It has held eggs, bubbles, rocks, crayons, cars, and has now been mostly forgotten in the corner of the family room full of chalk.

On this particular day, it also served as a lovely hat.

I couldn't coax any smiles from these two during this pic.  But keep in mind, this was snapped shortly after their encounters with the Easter bunny, so they may have been still trying to figure out what that was all about.

Preparing for the start of the 2- to 4-year-old egg hunt (we had to break out the fake ID...he was only 17 months).

The hunt was over in less than 5 minutes.  Maybe less than 3.  It was fast!

I was so proud of my boy for snagging three whole eggs!  ;)

It would have been four if it weren't for the seemingly parentless pre-teen who swooped out of nowhere to snatch a cheap plastic egg filled with crappy candy from a toddler.  (Grrr....)  But it's all good.  Look how excited he is!!!

A few days later, Arlo's school had another one and then he went to a THIRD in downtown Durham with his daddy, Grandma, and Aunt Allie.  That time he only got one egg, but I am told he could have gotten 50 if he'd wanted to, but he chose to fill his basket with rocks instead.  Future geologist, right?

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and got all the eggs you could ever want.  ;)
